He gained prominence in the 1990s, particularly in the R&B genre, producing numerous hits for a range of artists, including Mary J. Blige, Usher, Faith Evans, SWV, and Kenny Lattimore. His work on Mary J. Blige's iconic album My Life marks a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
