    Gotta Have Dem Hops is the innovative brainchild of Herb Middleton, a celebrated name in music production. With an impressive career spanning over 30 years, Middleton is a distinguished producer, songwriter, and musician. He gained prominence in the 1990s, particularly in the R&B genre, producing numerous hits for a range of artists, including Mary J. Blige, Usher, Faith Evans, SWV, and Kenny Lattimore. His work on Mary J. Blige's iconic album My Life marks a significant milestone in his illustrious career.


    This unique growing medium aims to intertwine music, sports, and fashion while fostering community engagement. Middleton fondly recalls his youth when he would hop unusually high during basketball games, relishing the encouragement he received for his talent.


    With Gotta Have Dem Hops, he aspires to motivate the next generation to leap towards their dreams both on and off the court. This initiative transcends mere physical ability; it embodies the rhythm of life—similar to the beats he crafted in the studio. Their mission is to inspire young and an older audience to overcome challenges and reach new levels of success and self-expression.
